JA siempre con ganas de surfear y nunca la oportunidad estaba cerca...pero alguien dijo"si en las playas del Oeste hay un lugar famoso" claro pero el Oeste es el Pacifico y estaba bien al norte ,asi que me imagine aguas bastante mas frias de lo que en realidad eran (gracias al neoprene,gran invento si los hay)...
Entonces en el unico finde largo que Sue tuvo libre nos escapamos hasta TOFINO...recorriendo la isla de Vancouver desde Nanaimo hasta la costa Oeste y de ahi hasta arriba al pueblo de Tofino...
El pueblo esta entre la costa con playas muy largas y deserticas y un monton de pequenas islas hacia
el este que es otro buen destino para las aventuras de kayacks.....
Pero nada esta ves se trataba solo de salir surfeando....y bueno ahora si entendi lo bueno de dedicarle tiempo a la tabla.Es la mejor manera de pasar tiempo en el agua...la escusa perfecta para estar motivado un dia entero adenrto del mar...
Asi que large con lo priemro y eso es el longboard que despues de unos cuanto intentos me dejo subirme por un minuto (suficiente para la foto) y nada a seguir nadando y persiguiendo olas el resto del finde semana...

pudimos encontrar con amigos que estaban de gira por ahi...y bueno fue el mejor tiempo de descanso en los ultimos meses......
La mejor epoca para lo pro es el invierno ,ahi estan las olas mas grandes ...pero hay que aguantar el frio tambien....!!

Surfing in the West
Ha I’ve always wanted to surf but never have had the opportunity…but someone said “Yes, on the beaches in the west there’s a famous place…” Of course, but the west is the Pacific and it was really far north, so I thought the water was going to be a lot colder than it actually was. (Thanks to neoprene, a great invention if you have it)
On the only long weekend Sue had free, we escaped to Tofino…travelling through Vancouver Island from Nanaimo to the west coast and from there up to the village of Tofino.
The village is between the coast with long, deserted beaches and tons of little islands towards the east…that’s another good destination for kayaking adventures.
This time I only tried to surf…and now I definitely understand the merit in dedicating time to the board. It’s the best way to spend time in the water…the perfect excuse to spend an entire day in the sea.
When you’re starting out, the long board is the best. After a few tries, I was able to get up for a minute (enough for a photo). After that, I kept swimming and following waves for the rest of the weekend.
We met up with some friends that were around the area…and it was a great time to relax after the end of a long month. The best season for a pro to surf is the winter. Then, there are the biggest waves…but you have to put up with the cold as well!!
